Homemade Paneer Recipe Homemade Paneer Recipe

There are few things more classically Indian cuisine than homemade paneer (Indian cheese). Use the easy-to-follow recipe below to make your own in your very home!

Ingredients

  • 16 oz of regular whole milk
  • 48 oz of regular Half & Half
  • 2 tablespoons of Distilled White Vinegar
  • Cheesecloth about 18”x18”
  • Colander

Process

  1. Boil both whole milk and Half & Half together
  2. As soon as milk starts boiling, add little portions of Distilled White Vinegar and stir slowly until milk starts curdling. Then turn off the heat
  3. Place the cheesecloth in the colander
  4. Strain the curdled milk
  5. Wait about 15 minutes for almost all liquid to strain
  6. Try to tie a tight knot by lifting the cheese cloth with the paneer in it to make a ball of paneer
  7. Hang ball or press with weight on it to drain absolutely all liquid
  8. Now you have the home made paneer!
  9. Cut it in cubes
  10. You have the option to fry the cubes or transfer them into a pan and lightly brown them.
  11. Enjoy!
